Library just Updated to the FINAL version! (Aug 22nd – NOW WITH 118 PATCHES) – Check out the 2 new demo tracks (Forged by Fire and Peanut Butta to hear some of the new Patches in Action!)
By far the most unique library I’ve ever created is now available! 3 Guitars and 2 variations with my Yamaha C5 Grand piano and a cute baby blue Toy Piano all recorded at 48Khz while playing them with drum sticks (the Toy Piano has basically a built-in drum stick which is why is was included!) I also recorded 4 different MegaMagic 100% Reverb Layers (from 12-string, 6-String Steel and 6-String Nylon guitars and the STRIKER Soft piano) and 3 different synth pads that are layered in the Z Patches to great effect!
80 Patches (More will be added by 8/23), 1,100 samples used in 26 unique sample maps to create this awesome library.
Some prepared Piano sample libraries have used sticks, hammers and other things but I have not found any mention of one library with 3 guitars and a concert Grand Piano recorded in the same library using drum sticks! I can’t even tell you how proud I am of this library…..
ENJOY!!!
Check out the demos and video walkthru – you””ll quickly see and hear that if you love synthesizers, then you””ll want to own and play with this library!
NOTE: This library will not work in Unify (Standard Edition). Unify 2.04+ is required.
More Info coming on the making of this EPIC Library!

Reviews
This is one of the best libraries I’ve heard / owned.
Certainly the most inspirational.
From the moment I heard the first note in a Livestream, I knew this library would be in my collection. This set of piano and guitar patches bring a special sound and cinematic quality to this library adding a new level of inspiration. Each patch is full of so much character and emotion. From rich, bright almost dulcimer attacks, to very dreamy and floaty, and then to warm and haunting beauty. The guitars and pianos are equally enjoyable to play.
I can’t even begin to explain the complexity, beauty and emotion of what John has programmed. There is some wonderful velocity work providing seamless flow between warm and bright. This gives many patches an extremely wide range of emotion and dynamics. I especially enjoyed the set of BPM Keys. Each one tells a different story.
And the Mega Magic Reverb returns in this library. It is programmed as a separate macro knob and not baked directly into the sample. This allows you to layer it to your liking.
I own a large number of Unify libraries, but I don’t know if I’m the typical user. Because I’m basically just a ‘preset surfer’, working my way through John’s great presets each time I acquire a new library and simply flagging the ones that I like the most as favorites. At most, I’ll make a few tweaks to the sounds and of course layer sounds to create some neat new combinations. And while I’m not nearly taking much advantage of the incredible power behind Unify 2, I’ve been perfectly content doing that, as basically all of the Unify libraries I have are superb.
But STRIKER might have changed that for me. Because ‘hidden’ inside the wonderful and truly innovative sounds in this library is a wealth of DNA to make incredible new presets by making simple adjustments to the macro parameters. I had never really spent much time doing that before, but – inspired by the z-prefix presets included in the library – I am having a great time experimenting and coming up with new piano and guitar sounds that are truly inspirational to me. And I plan to use this ‘discovery’ as a springboard to start exploring Unify 2’s capabilities in more depth.
So bravo, John! I”m not sure if this was an explicit part of your game plan for Striker, or if that’s any different than for any other Unify library. But it’s truly been a game changer for me!
This is a Masterful piano library. I am a picky guy and there is no single ultimate piano library. Factors involved in creating a great library for Pianos are extensive and require matching the right acoustic character, velocity layers, processing style, years of practice with mic placement, sample manipulation and looping. If you play keys and once you have purchased this go to
zKEY – Whispering in Your Ear !!!!
or zKEY – Softly Cinema
or KEY – Striker Soft – MegaMagic V1 V2 or V3
or any other Patch in this library
Play a few chords and move that Mod wheel you will soon see that
what we have here is a masterpiece of modern sampling.
Yet another great Library from John. His attention to detail and use of the great features in Unify2 makes this a well worth purchase and addition to my growing collection. I have already incorporated Striker into my recent track 😎🙏
Hey John, this is a fantastic library, already used for a track I submitted for a sync opportunity, you won’t get these sounds anywhere else, the pads are just amazing, the attack on the piano Striker Hard is great for cutting t through dense rock mixes. just a superb library, everyone should own this who owns Unify2.
Like many are saying here this is library is outstanding. It’s very original. Striking a lot of conventional instruments with the toy drumstick is very unique. But what blows me away apart from the strikes are the pads that have been created out of that. They are nothing short of spectacular. Thanks John for doing this. As usual the audio quality is supreme as always. In a world where so many libraries are coming out this is very unique and special. Inspiration abounds
I own many Unify libraries (including Keys and some of the Guitars). I think having the Sampler2 available is one of the reasons the sounds (patches) are remarkable. This is definitely one of the best and I appreciate all the work that went into it.
As someone who owns all the Unify libraries, I initially wondered how STRIKER would stand out compared to the patches in MM Guitars and MM Keys.
I was blown away—STRIKER adds a whole new dimension. These patches have real bite and fully optimise the sound potential of Unify 2. It’s an fantastic library on its own, but if you already own MM Guitars and MM Keys, try layering in some of the STRIKER patches—the results are truly amazing. Once John starts dropping the BONUS patches, this set is going to be unstoppable!
Simply one of the most beautiful offerings yet from John. Right from the first preset, I was inspired for hours listening to and creating new multiples as I learned from watching on the Livestreams. Thank you!
