ART-Z ARP 2600 Power Pack

This is a tour-de-force of 260 Inspiring patches for the ARP 2600 plug-in found in the Korg Collection V5! Truly one of the most unique and accurate plug-ins created to date, this is a library by one of the main sound designers that created the incredible factory patches. Peter Schwartz is a very talented guy – his musical chops have earned him musical director roles with artists like Madonna, David Bowie, Enya and his programming chops have made him a secret weapon in the voicing of numerous synthsizers by Korg, Yamaha and others. I have worked with Peter since around 1990 on projects including the Korg T-Series, Triton, Wavestation and many more. He’s a deep thinker and his patches show it. Which is a blessing because the ARP 2600 requires some deep thinking on how to approach programming it – so think of many of these patches as road maps on how to create many unique types of sounds.

Because the ARP 2600 by Korg is so technically accurate, that requires more CPU than many simpler plug-ins require. Because of this reason, we decided to cap the voicing at a max of 4 voices for this library. 206 patches are either 1 or 4 voice polyphonic. We did create a completely separate directory in the Library tab with 60 of those 206 Patches saved as 8 voice polyphonic patches for more modern computers. By being in a separate directory it makes is very easy to know how to play the patches you call up.

There is also a Unified version of this library included! All 260 Patches are saved along with a Drum Kit created by John Lehmkuhl with 21 of Peter’s Drum/Percussion Patches mapped across the keyboard as a drum kit. There are also 4 BPM Patches with grooves assigned for easy and instant jamming opportunities! It’s very fun to play a few of these patches layered up!
