SabrePigs V1 for Pigments | Unify

Our 1st Library for Arturia’s Pigments – 150 Beautifully crafted Patches by PlugInGuru programming veteran Tim Dale! Designed for modern “Pop” which can be anywhere from Lofi and Chill to EDM and Trance productions, there is lots of inspiration for everybody in this library!

As Tim says “SabrePigs is a collection of 150 patches for Pigments v4, designed to be a toolkit for writing tracks in a contemporary pop style, handling anything from ballads to EDM-edged, darker pop tones. As such, the patches can be pretty, but they can also be downright rude. Don’t be fooled by the cute logo.”

So enjoy some new inspiration for a favorite plug-in of many of you!

Tim Dale – the story behind the library

In terms of software synthesizers, to quote an ex-British Prime Minister, “we’ve never had it so good”. And one of the best of the recent crop is Pigments by Arturia. Often overshadowed by Arturia’s own hardware synths, this 2018 plugin has been steadily developed since then. Now at version 4, Pigments has become a powerhouse of a synth, yet remains comparatively simple to use and program.

After years of experience programming for Omnisphere, Unify and various hardware synths, I’ve started to diversify into a number of newer software synths, as each brings something new to the table. I was struck by comments by more than one reviewer that in Pigments, you can easily create whatever sound is in your head. So I set out to see if that was true, and the result is SabrePigs volume 1, the first release for Pigments by SabreSounds, in conjunction with PlugInGuru.com. (Apologies but I really couldn’t resist the library name.)

SabrePigs is a collection of 150 patches for Pigments v4, designed to be a toolkit for writing tracks in a contemporary pop style, handling anything from ballads to EDM-edged, darker pop tones. As such, the patches can be pretty, but they can also be downright rude. Don’t be fooled by the cute logo.

Take a listen to the demo tracks to hear the patches in action.

All of the patches are available with Unify (Pigments still required) but in addition, there are 50 bonus Unify multis. Unlike synths like Omnisphere, Pigments doesn’t have a multi-mode, so Unify is an ideal environment to combine/split/layer Pigments patches to produce grooves and textures not possible in a single Pigments instance. Unify also brings other forms of synthesis and sampling to combine, as well as a wide array of plug-in effects.

150 Patches for Pigments 4.1 (or later)

200 Patches for the Bonus Unify library = All 150 Pigments Patches as well as 50 Bonus Multis combining multiple Patches from the library for even more complex and exciting sounds!

Requires: Arturia Pigments V4.1 or Later (Bonus Unify library requires Unify 1.10 or Later)

  • Great patches for a great synth

Tim Dale strikes again. Pigments is an incredibly versatile and flexible synth, and TD has exploited its capabilities to the maximum with some awesome sounds. Can’t wait for Vol 2!

  • Flying pigs!

Awesome patches for one of my favorite synths! if you have Pigments, than you need this! Even experienced Pigments-users can learn a lot by deep-diving into these awesome works!

  • More variety also for pigments

    Tim Dale did it again!
The quality of this patches are again out of question and everybody should find something fitting in this pack.
For me in the end it is great to have also more variety for pigments patches, when using unify.
The exclusive multis are the welcome addition.

  • Pic & Title are really goofy

Tim has wacky sense of humour, if you’ve got Unify and Pigments go get it !!
You can then have the same fun that I am having.
The Unified patches are something else. Thanks a lot Tim, John & Shane
