Unify v1.9.1 is now available with Native Apple Silicon Support and an incredible new MIDI Effect called CC Rider included!
Unify now includes 40 Patches including 38 NEW or Updated patches with this update!
Please scroll down the page to see the list of all the libraries available for Unify – NOTE: Unified libraries are FREE support libraries that consist of the Factory Patches from over 80 plug-ins. You HAVE to own the plug-in for these libraries to be useful. Install the VST2 version into Unify or the VST3 if a VST2 is not included.
We also offer a FREE DEMO VERSION of Unify so you can try before buying if you wish. Everything works (saving is disabled, it can’t load any of our libraries, just play select patches from our factory content and scan your plug-ins to confirm how cool it is to layer multiple plug-ins you own inside of Unify!) The demo version will quit after 15 min of use. You can restart it again if you wish.
Anybody can now get the Full Installer or Updater files to download from either logging into your PluInGuru.com account or from our Distributer partner Ilio’s download links: https://www.ilio.com/unify-updates
Listen to the audio demos, watch the patch and interface walk thru videos (as well as other support videos) and you will be inspired with what YOU can create after adding this amazing plug-in instrument to your toolkit!
Say hello to a NEW WAY of working with Plug-ins of all types! Unify can work with MIDI Effects, Instruments and Audio Effects in creative fun and inspiring ways. Unify includes plug-ins VST2, VST3 and Audio Units (Mac only) PLUS a Standalone application for PC and Mac. One of the cool things with Unify is that any format of plug-in can load other formats of plug-ins – meaning the Audio Unit version can easily load VST3 and VST plug-ins while you’re using it in Logic Pro X (which doesn’t know what to do with VST or VST3 plug-ins). We talked to a number of small (like us) developers who have made some rather amazing free plug-ins in the last 20 years and received their blessing to include their plug-ins and audio effects – along with our own Guru Sample Player and 14 Effects we built ourselves so that Unify ships with 625 ready-to-play patches when you install it.
That puts Unify in a totally different class than any other “Host” PlugIn: we include 6 Instrument and 40 effect plug-ins that John “Skippy” Lehmkuhl used to make the 625 patches that are included and play the second you install Unify. From simple basses and pads to complex 12 layers of plugins doing incredible rhythmic wavesequence types of sounds and everything in-between, it’s breathtaking what has been created here.
Plug-Ins Included with Unify (placed in their own Plug-In folder, away from your existing Plug-In folders):

UNIFIED Libraries –
FEB 2023: I’ve just released OTT#13 (One Topic Tip video #13) on loading your own samples into Unify. I created a empty template library called “My Sample Vault” that you can download from HERE. If you would like the 30+ min step by step video on how to load your own gazillion samples into Unify, it’s available to watch HERE.
A Unified Library is where we save out each factory patch from a specific Plug-In in Unify format. YOU MUST OWN THE PLUG-IN the library of patches if from. The advantages are:
All the factory patches in our easy to view browser, organized by category.
In Unify Patch format, by simply changing the Patch Loading Mode to “Unify / Layer”, any new patch you select is added to your existing patch for immediate layers/building of sounds. This is impossible in every other plug-in out there and makes Unify truly unique.
In order to use these Unified Patches, you need to own the specific Plug-In, and have for the most part the VST2 version of this plug-in added to Unify’s “Known PlugIn” list.
If you get an ERROR MESSAGE (Plug-In MISSING) when trying to load a Patch, Watch This.

A great sounding synth/Sample playback engine no doubt but the real magic is its workflow which makes installed plugins work together. Get it NOW you will not regret it! 🙂
Following the development on this for 6 months, super exciting to to finally get my hands on Unify. The creative possibilities for lengthy evolving sophisticated layered instruments complete with the UI friendliness that comes from Skippy’s decades in the business makes this a no brainer purchase.
Downloading and install easier than I expected. No problems at all. Really enjoying the ability to use midi effects with ease in Studio One Pro and building multi layer VST sound sets. Well done John and Shane.
It is just that. Simple. Yet…amazing! The possibilities are limitless. No beat was missed. I cannot imagine what you guys will do with this down the road, but count me in for the long awesome ride!
Thank you so much Skippy and Shane for this insane plugin. Waiting so long for this and now..it’s happening. This plugin is so creative and inspiring. Besides some issues (Posted them on the forum) it’s a dream come true for sound designers and composers. You nailed it guys!!!
Congratulations John and Shane! I love everything about Unify and this is only the initial version. This is an excellent product now and I am looking forward to and excited about all the future enhancements. All the 400 presets are amazing – sounds quality is excellent. The BPM presets are spot-on!
I have some ideas to add to your list of enhancements.
This product has changed my life! It is easy to use and the possibilities will be endless in terms of creating new sounds! I am looking forward to use this product live, as well in the studio. Unify is a dream come true!
It’s a wow feeling every time you combine different machines, just with a click. I haven’t tried it in Ableton yet, just installed it and figuring out how it works. This will truely be a game changer! Well done PluginGuru and Shane. Continuing the high standard we know from your sound design.
Wonderful ease of use. It’s lighting a fire under me to make more music. A great value for the money. I haven’t been this excited since finding Skippy’s FM8 tutorials.
A few version 1 warts, but they are easy to over-look for the workflow improvements. It is so quick to implement ideas. Kudo’s to John and Shane for vision and execution.
This plugin has given me new inspiration.
I cannot leave it alone.
I’ve been anticipating this for quite a while and certainly have not been disappointed. Amazing plugin/stand alone and a stunning price really.
As delivered it is worth every penny and probably more. Skippy has always been a master of sound development and patch construction. The standard library delivers as indicated 400 patches most of which are stunning because of the attention to detail that has always been Skippy’s point of genius.
So … my DAW (BandLab Sonar) lists 432 plugins which I proceeded to scan in so that Unify would recognize them. A few did not get accepted, but only a few. The scan was much faster than I expected.
Created a few test patches from scratch and am in heaven.
Anything wrong with Unify. Nope. I can comment on a few things that a user should know.
First of all, this is a very deep plugin which allows building many compound sound sets. This means there is a great deal to learn to get the full impact of the plugin. I am looking forward to the videos that will allow users to become super users.
Secondly, the current manual is online, while I am more in favor of a PDF type manual. However I imagine there are reasons for the online version. First of all, the current manual can easily be expanded online, while a PDF version might be a constant download chain each time sections are added. Also, the manual pages explain that advances will be made to Unify which means updates to documentation will become routine.
I did have to dig into the manual a few times to do things I wanted to try out, but I found all the info I needed pretty fast.
I always expect quality from John, but this is amazing.
Initially I had some issues figuring out the interface. It has, in my eyes a different approach to sound creation. Well the whole concept is different:-) As I have a ton of plugins its great that you can create folders with your preferred ones and also remove those you don’t want.
After fiddling around for 15 minutes I got the hang of the workflow and made some great useable patches, that I might not have made using my usual tools.
Also the supllied VSTs, FX and patches are great. Even you are not going to make your own patches, which you will! 🙂 Well dont PluginGuru People
Wow … what a great product at an unbeatable price.
A step into a new world of sound and making music.
Looking forward to what comes next.
John and Shane, you did a great job.
